BECOME AN ART COLLECTOR AT A FRACTION OF THE COST
To create affordable and scalable investment opportunities for her patrons and collectors, Karlalise has agreed to offer several of her artworks for sale by means of tokenized blockchain title.
WHAT ARE BLOCKCHAIN TOKENS?
Blockchain tokens can relate to digital assets or real world assets (RWA). RWA tokens are digital records of ownership relating to a particular portion of / shares in a real world (physical) asset, like a painting or a collection of paintings.
The value of the RWA tokens are synonymous with the value of the physical asset. They represent an affordable, scalable way for collectors and investors to support an artist's practice without incurring the expense of buying a whole piece of work. They also provide an investment opportunity, because they confer transferable / sellable rights to partial ownership in an asset that is likely to grow in value over time.
THE INVESTMENT
Karlalise will offer RWA tokens for some of her finest artworks (see below). They will be:
* Robust digital certificates evidencing ownership of a real world asset;
* Formal, legal assets;
* Fungible, meaning they are uniformly exchangeable;
* Readily tradeable (in this case, on private, secure, decentralized cross chain platforms); and
* Transferable, which means they can be sold, traded, gifted or bequeathed.
THE ARTWORK
Artworks will be independently valued and insured, held in trust, stored securely (all verified by third party oracles) and exhibited occasionally for the benefit of investors.
There may also be opportunities for owners to contribute to decisions regarding the governance of the artworks over time.
COPRYIGHT
Karlalise retains copyright in all of her works. However, a portion of any license fees she earns from the use or copying of tokenized works over time will be applied to the cost of storing, administering and governing those works over time for the benefit of investors.
